Process
1. Select a mathematician to study (you will do this on the next page).
2. Research your subject using the sites listed on the Resources page, looking specifically for information on the following:
- Biographical Information:
- Mathematical Information:
3. Create a web-based presentation (using one of the tools listed on the Resources page) that you will present to the rest of the class.

- Biographical Information:
- When did they live?
- Where were they born?
- Who were their parents/siblings/children?
- What was their education?
- What was their job?
- Mathematical Information:
- What area of mathematics are they most known for?
- What are their most famous contributions to mathematics?
- Whose work did they most build off of?
- Did they study this on their own, or did they work with other people?
- Did they study under another famous mathematician?
- Did they teach another famous mathematician?
3. Create a web-based presentation (using one of the tools listed on the Resources page) that you will present to the rest of the class.
- Organize your information in a neat and meaningful way of your choosing
- Include a relevant image on each slide (a list of sites with free images is included on the Resources page)
- Proofread your work carefully
- Share your presentation electronically with Dennis ([email protected])
